| Day 2 | Washington, DC | We start the day with an orientation tour of New York City, viewing Battery Park, Times Square, the mighty Empire State Building and beautiful Central Park. | Day 3 | Washington, DC | We are joined by a local guide who takes us on a sightseeing tour, viewing the Capitol, the White House and many of the capital's landmark monuments and memorials. Stops are made at the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials and the WWII and Vietnam Veterans Memorials. We then cross the Potomac to Arlington National Cemetery, the final resting place of more than 300,000 people and site of the Tomb of the Unknowns and the Eternal Flame of the Kennedy grave. Here, we learn about the history and traditions of Arlington on board the narrated Tourmobile. The afternoon is at leisure; perhaps visit one of the museums of the Smithsonian Institution or take a leisurely stroll and view the monuments up close. (Full Brekafast) |
| Day 4 | Philadelphia | We journey on to Baltimore, Maryland, and visit the bustling Inner Harbor. Next we arrive at the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia. At Independence National Historical Park, we visit the award-winning National Constitution Center, the Liberty Bell Center, home to the Liberty Bell, and we view Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776. Tonight, why not follow us back to the 18th century with our optional dinner at the historic City Tavern, followed by a stroll through Old Town? These famous waterfalls thunder and roar, forming one of the most photographed natural wonders of the world. | Day 7 | Toronto | Our highlight today is a cruise aboard the Maid of the Mist, which takes us through the churning waters past the American and Bridal Veil Falls and into the dense mist of spray inside the curve of the Horseshoe Falls. Later we travel across the Niagara Peninsula and stop at picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake before continuing on to Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario, one of the five great lakes.
